During our multiplication lesson, which they are quickly and surprisingly catching on to (yay), I got so excited that I told them, "You guys are SO stinkin' smart!'. They responded with, "what's that mean?" O WOW!!!!! Now, I know they know what smart means, but we immediately had to go back to our adjective lesson (that we just did last week), and review describing words. Maybe next time I will rethink the adjectives I choose to use with them :)
On our way back to class from recess, I will often chit chat with my students. Rarely do they ask me anything personal, but today was an exception. One student asked, "Ms. Robison, do you paint your hair?" haha, I knew exactly what she meant and just responded with a quick "yes".
